Helpful Hints for a Successful Session
Our ultimate goal at Tara Yoga is to support your daily function and well-being. We encourage you to stay open to the process and enjoy the many benefits FMYoga!
Studio Arrival (Wake Me Up Before You Go Go)
Doors will open 15 minutes prior to the start of each class to allow you time to change, set up, and prepare yourself for the session. If you arrive early, we appreciate your patience as your instructor prepares the studio space.
While we hope everyone can arrive on time to benefit from the opening meditation and theme, we would rather you arrive a few minutes late than miss class entirely. If you are running late, please enter quietly with your shoes already removed. If the instructor is still speaking, please wait until they have finished before setting up your props. If you will be more than 15 minutes late, we recommend rescheduling to ensure you do not miss the essential physical warm-up.
Late Arrivals (Running Out of Time)
Attendance and Make-up Classes (Just Keep Breathin’)We understand that life and work can interfere with your schedule. If you miss a class, you may substitute it within the same month. If that isn't possible, we offer a grace period to make up the session the following month, provided there is space available. Please note that missed classes do not roll over indefinitely; for example, an absence in April must be made up by the end of May.
Yoga Props (Set Up Shop)Please bring the following basic props to each session: FMYoga 1: Mat, yoga blanket, and therapy balls. FMYoga 2: Mat, yoga blanket, therapy balls, and two blocks.
Specialty props will be provided. If you need links to purchase your own, please email us. Alternatively, you may rent a prop set up for $7 per month by adding the fee to your class tuition.
Studio Etiquette (So Fresh and So Clean)Save your smell good potions for after class! Please do not wear perfume, cologne, scented lotions, or essential oils to your session as it can irritate allergies of other students/ teachers.
Studio Etiquette (Voices Carry) To maintain a focused environment, please limit conversations during class to pose related questions. Also, please keep your voices down when transitioning to and from class, to not disturb other treatments or appointments.
Additionally, cell phones should be turned off and stored away, except in emergencies.
